Anyword – The New-Age Assistant to Content Marketers

Note – I tried the tool and liked its usability for Content Marketers.

As a Content Marketer, how many times have you wished to have an executive assistant for yourself – to do the prep work for all the writing that’s been pending? Wishes apart, Marketing is becoming another agile and fast-moving function in the organization. On top of it, Content requirements and formats are growing rapidly. Everything you do in your organization rotates around the content – Website, Webinars, Virtual Briefings, Cold Emailing, Sales Call, Blog, Events and Exhibitions, PR, Hiring, Retaining, Culture Management, Introduction of New tools and Processes. And these are just a few!

Whatever you say, Content has a role to play in it and so as the Content Marketers. This also puts lots of pressure on Content Marketers in terms of producing quantity and repurposing more content without compromising on the quality.

I know and being a Content Marketer myself I know nothing can replace the imagination and the storytelling capabilities of a human mind. I still gave a try to this tool called Anyword. They call themselves an AI-powered Copywriting Tool and claims to be building the Future of Copywriting.

I will try to give you an overall idea about the features of the tool and how it’s useful for Content Marketers. Let’s get started. You can go to their website and create a free account for a trial.

Anyword can create various content formats like Blog, Landing Page, Social Media Ads, Email, SMS, Ad Copies with options of generating various options or even customizing them. I tried to blog and landing page copies.

How does the blog feature work?

  1. Website URL - https://anyword.com/beta-signup/

The user interface is pretty simple to log in and get started. The best part is Free Trial without using cards.

2. Welcome Screen – As you log in, you will see this and different copywriting formats. It has more or less all kinds of formats we use in our daily business writing.

3. Click on the format you would like to write or explore. I chose Blog. When you choose the Blog section it asks for a few details like Topic Brief (Around 300 words), Keywords, Industry, etc.

4. Once you enter the details, it generates a few options for Title Topics. There’s an engagement predictor that shows engagement scores based on a few demographic details. Once you have selected the desired Topic Title, it asks you to generate the Outline of the Topic (That is my favorite part).

5. The outline of the topic gives you the full structure of the article section-wise. The next step is to generate an opening paragraph.

6. By clicking on Next, Anyword will generate a paragraph for you. I checked the generated paragraph and there was no hint of plagiarism and it's 100% unique.

How does the Landing Page feature work?

    1. The login details are the same as described above.
    2. Click on the Landing Page. It gives you three options– Improving the Current Landing Page Copy, New Landing Page Copy, and SEO Meta Description. I tried New Landing Page Copy.
    3. The Landing Page Copy is neatly divided into Headline, Subheader, Call to Action, Benefits, and Features.
    4. Since I have tried a free version, there was some default tone of voice templates but they have more options for the paid plans. The tone of voice can be used to sync the content with your brand voice.
    5. Enter a few details like – Project Name, Industry or Topic, Describe the product/service you would like to promote or write copy for. Click on Next and see the magic.
    6. Once you enter the details, it generates options for Headline, Subheaders, Call to Action, Benefits, and Features.
    7. The tone of voice can be customized for each of these sections.

What did I love about the Anyword?

    • Time-Saving – AI Copywriting saves time but they cannot replace humans. They generate paragraphs or outlines based on what’s already being fed into their engines – so typically it’s good to research and analysis by machines which of course is limited for human minds.
    • AI augments Human Mind – There are two thought camps regarding this point but being an optimist I would emphasize more on how AI actually can augment Human Mind. Remember times when we used to remember telephone numbers of friends and relatives, that used to occupy some memory in our brains, now we have to simply store it our cell phones and we are done. This gives the brain some downtime and can focus on things that we need human creativity and intellect. To some extent, Anyword is doing the same thing for Content Creators/Content Marketers.
    • Grow your Content team with AI – Any growing company has huge content requirements and it all comes down to the same two or three Content Marketers. The ad-hoc content requirements take the same amount of time and effort that is required for mission-critical purposes. Hiring and training new Content Marketers require lots of effort and it takes time for them to understand processes, brand purpose, current brand messaging, and personality, and after they are trained, they might leave too. AI Copywriting can bridge these gaps.

AI won’t be replacing humans, but it would be replacing complacent Humans

None of us can live in denial and we should not live in denial. Each of our job roles is going to shape up by AI tools and Content Marketing is no different. The Content Marketers who will learn to work with these AI tools to improve their skills are going to have a major advantage over the others. While AI can do the best of the research and present the results, it cannot understand your target audience, your products, and your stakeholders better than yours.
